A coworker notes that her white 3GS exhibits some funky charging behavior. If she plugs the phone into an outlet with the charger that came with the phone, then unplugs it and plugs it back into that same outlet, the phone reports "charging not supported with this device." If she changes outlets (maybe on a different circuit in the house, maybe not), the charger works fine. She has some classmates who report the same thing with their white 3GSs. Apparently nobody she knows has had this issue with BLACK 3GSs (I certainly haven't). She says that an old iPod charger she has works 100% every time, wherever she plugs it in.
I've never heard of this behavior. Has anyone else heard of it? Any ideas on why or how to make the original charger work? I forgot to ask her if her charger was the newer model with the green dot-was anything like this issue related to the older, replaced charger cube?
