So here's the thing. I have Skype. I have an iPod Touch. I have a Ring2Skype number.

Is there any way I can set this all up so that my iPod Touch will wake from sleep and give me some kind of "ring" or other Push notification when I get an incoming Skype call - even with the Skype application closed? This kind of notification has to be possible - Beejive and Ping! do it for me already.

Yes, someone said Fring does it. If it does, I have yet to figure out how to make it work. And there's surprisingly little help online on this subject.

So... anyone have any ideas? This would be a killer functionality for me if it would actually work.

Skype doesn't have background notification (yet). People have been waiting for it ever since notifications came to iPhone OS. Until that is added Skype needs to be running in the foreground to receive calls.
