Has the ridiculousness gotten to your neighborhood yet? What's the youngest person you've seen brandishing a new iPad? Would you be surprised? Did it make you nauseous about what we are heading into, as consumerist human beings?

No iPad, but I did see a three-year-old on the bus with an iPhone yesterday, and it was pretty darn adorable.

The only people concerned with consumerism are the people that don't have awesome things.

I think the iPad is an awesome intro computer for young people.

I'm very seriously considering getting one for use primarily by my 8 year old. I don't see the problem.
Paco is bitter about the loss of his .mac webpage. Image will return when his sadness lessens.

This is probably the first "computer" my mother could actually effectively use. I can see the same usability for younger children.

Personally seen, however, has been my 32 year old co-worker.

I haven't seen anyone use one, or seen one. But I could see it being a good way to introduce youngins to the world of computers.

I have yet to actually see an iPad. Indy has a pretty good Apple presence too.

I walked by the large line at the local Apple store on the 3rd and saw a couple hanging in the windows, but that's it. One of my coworkers was in the line.

We're not allowed to look at pre-pubescent people here in case we all turn into kiddie-fiddlers, so I couldn't tell you whether there's any with iPads or not.

They're not on sale up here yet, but everyone keeps asking me I have one.

I haven't seen an iPad in use yet. But, my 4 year old daughter loves the iPod touch, so I am assuming she would love the iPad as well. Though I would not buy her one of her own. I don't think I would trust a kid to own one until they are 14-16... the glass screen is just too breakable.
