Is it possible to check and update for new podcasts over wifi within the iPod app?
I noticed that you can search for new podcasts and update that way.
But I want to say check the podcasts on my iPad for new ones without having to connect to a machine that has them and download them that way.

I've heard the same thing, and I don't believe there is a way to simply update your Podcasts from the iPad. I think it acts like the iPhone where it sends you to the iTunes app to manually look for new episodes. Seems like a minor oversight, and hopefully that function will be added in the future.

I was hoping for that also, but I do not see the option for that anywhere.

If i am not going to be around my computer for a while, I have been going to the iTunes store and downloading the recent episodes.
I will hope for this in the future, but I love my iPad!
