Ugh, I hate AppleInsider’s writing style. Something about just yells “We’re trying to sound like serious journalists! It’s working, right?!” They vary a lot in accuracy, but that’s to be expected, and they certainly have had at least some sources who weren’t just making shit up.
I actually like macrumors.com (not to be confused with MacOSRumors, whose descent into total lunacy was already complete probably 10 years ago). They’re really good at being an aggregator of news and rumors from lots of sites. They usually keep their articles short, with a brief quote from and links to the original, but they tend to add some useful analysis, like talking about the track record of the originating site or analyst. They’ve also had a few sources of their own, though the last big exclusive scoop they had was the aluminum PBG4 intro in 2003.
