It seems that the iPad is selling like hot cakes in Asia. In stores people are paying almost twice the US retail price. In other countries like Britain it is different as people there who can't wait are only able to get gouged online.
The black market seems to really exist in countries where Apple has not yet announced an official launch date for the iPad.

Any comments on the subject? I think it's insane to spend that much on a toy (WiFi only is still a big limitation) when a more capable one will be available in the not-too-distant future.
