Location services not auto detecting outside US

My iPad can't auto detect my location, when outside the US. I'm assuming it's to do with no global release as yet?

My iPhone works fine in the same location (currently Cayman Islands). The iPad worked fine within the US.

Anyone else seen this?

Are you in or near George Town, or on one of the other islands? I'd think it would be difficult to localize without GPS out on the Brac-and the "A-GPS" ("assisted GPS") in the WiFi iPad may not be up to the task...
