Do we have any estimates yet on how many iPad 3Gs were sold on the first day oaf availability?

We'll hear pundits over the weekend estimate, but we probably won't hear anything official until Monday. Shall we start some punditry ourselves? I'll go conservative and say 175,000 units.

i'd guess 200-225k... i wonder if the supply side is capable of those numbers(in addition to the wifi models) after the launch last month.

The sales estimates for the 3G iPad launch weekend have been placed at 300K by Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster. It should be noted that Gene's initial WiFi launch weekend estimates were inaccurate.
