Is this worth it so I don't have to mess with downloading files and what not.

Or is it a scam? I just can't tell.

If you have instructions that are real simple please pass them on.

I am trying to unlock a 2g iPhone for use with TMobile. Thanks.

I wouldnt trust it yet i've never heard of anyone doing it
I would just jailbreak it (iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your iPhone Using Spirit (Mac) [3.1.2, 3.1.3]) and unlock it via cydia
