Hi there

I just updated my iPhone 3G to the new OS 4.0 and i cannot access my general settings
it simply crashes. i've tried multiple times restarting it but nothing...

anyone else experiencing this?

is the only thing i can do is to restore it?

looks like it is a fairly common problem for OS 4, iPhone 3G users

i tried resorting to the backup but... still the same problem arose

What does it do if you restore, but don't install the backup? There could be a fault in the backup (or just a config) that is "incompatible" with IOS4.

In other words, can you access it after a clean restore?

I restored the entire device, no data whatsoever... went to settings --> general and it crashed and takes me to the main screen.

cant tether, use bluetooth, add a password ....


Talked with apple... case unresolved

also experimenting with the new OS, i've also noticed that the Carrier Update constantly asks for an update whenever connected to iTunes and .. the GPS doesnt work very well at all


UPDATE: After talking with the senior advisor, they are giving me a Brand New iPhone 3G, in hopes that i can upgrade to a iPhone 4
