I just saw this over at LifeHacker Playing All Video Files in iTunes

Works as stated, made it very easy to add files to iTunes. However, can the new AppleTV play these videos by streaming from my iTunes Library? I've been thinking of buying the AppleTV and this working would be the tipping point. Could someone with the new hardware try this out?

No. It doesn't have the codecs. Need to wait for jailbreaks.
