iphone 4 won't turn on

I set my phone down, working fine when I did, and then it wouldn't turn on. Plugged it in and still nothing. I have it in the heavy duty Otter case, never dropped or gotten wet. Any ideas?

Kept pressing top button, and it came on. Has 3/4 of a charge so not sure what happened.

Did it show the Apple logo for a while before arriving at the lock screen? If so, it crashed and had to be rebooted. It happens rarely.
