The mysterious "other" space has been hitting over 2 GB on my iPhone.

I haven't found any useful solutions via Google, but I've found some information on my own that may be of use. Here's my experience so far:

1) For whatever reason, I decided to kill all my apps. As you kill an app, a new one slides into place. I just killed them all. Pretty sure it was every app I had ever run. When I synced up, my other space dropped from 2 GB to .6 GB.

2) Treated myself to a hot chocolate in honor of my mad problem solving skillz.

3) Other space built back up to around 2 GB. I killed all my apps and synced. Other stays at 2 GB.

4) You mother ****er.

5) Other space builds up to 2.6 GB after a week or so. Now I'm peeved. I decide to do a kill and sync anyway. It drops to .6 GB.

6)

So, umm... Maybe this will help 66% of the time. Worth a shot if it's frosting your ass.

Tl;dr: kill all your apps, maybe it'll help.

My other was 0.52GB. Killed all my apps, then synchronized.
"Dropped" to 0.55GB

I think you had a specific app running that had some sort of memory leak.

Definitely possible. Nothing comes to mind though.

Also possible. Though it's bizarre that I couldn't clear it up in step 3.
