The price was $600-$700 a couple of months ago. Now, all of them are at $500.
Is it because of the VZ iPhone, or does this happen every time the rent is due?

Yes. Those CL'ers must have been selling unlocked iPhones.

I bought a perfect 16MB on 14 Feb for $475. Would not have bought off Ebay - On a Bet. Too many horror stories about getting blocks of wood, Paypal chargebacks, etc. Going non-contract ATT 'till the i5 ..or better comes out. I am in the middle of Verizon country (legacy carrier) but cannot get service at my home. I can use both an iPad and the i4 with an antenna on my roof. Both work fine on ATT. I kicked out the Verizon wire - they would not even give us DSL.

A cheapo-Nano phone would make me look foolish. 'Been there before...?!
