Question
I was connected to the internet wireless via a BT router .
My speed was very slow 2-8 mb ,I rememder while first connecting MY router had 7 connecters some ethernet connecters I Ithink they are called and the rest are usb connecters . Now I shut down the wireless connection on my computer and tried connecting via wire to my router now speed is faster 12 to 15 mg somtimes 20 mg . I also have an ipad with a connecter to my go to my computers usb can my ipad with its usb cable be connected to routers usb ?

No, you cannot connect your iPad to a router's USB and do anything useful.

Most routers with USB ports are used either for making local USB printers visible on a network or might accommodate a hard drive to be used as a NAS. Rarely would the USB ports be used for networking. Perhaps one of your computers using the wifi has a slow wifi card and is bringing down the rest of the devices. Ethernet of course will be faster than wifi, it normally is faster, but you lose mobility.
