What predictions do 'NNers have about the upcoming iPhone 5?

My main predictions currently are no major case alterations, boosted CPU, GPU and RAM. Perhaps it will be called iPhone 4S.

That's more or less what I'm expecting as well: New GPU, dualcore CPU and the antenna modified like on the Verizon iPhone (division between antennas moved to the bottom). Possibly a software SIM, if they get the standard ready in time.
The low-end Mac Pro is the most overpriced Mac since the IIvx

Yeah, it'll be more of an iPhone 4S than a radical new iPhone 5.

I think the iPhone 5 will come out in 2012.

No "true" 4G (LTE), but HSPA+ which they'll call 4G.

New antennae design to take advantage of Qualcomm's dual-mode CDMA/GSM hybrid chip which the Verizon iPhone has.

what i really hope for is:
longer battery (comon, ppl use it for the internet. so: get it fixed!)
also more flash and RAM
and a 60 fps recording would be a nice gimmick, to.
but it shouldn'T take to long, till they get a real iphone5.
because, u know...

I don't know about the rest but I've heard from a very reliable source that the next iPhone will have Bootcamp so we can dual-boot into Windows Phone 7.

As most of you have said, looks like it will be a spec bump like the 3G to 3GS. I may hold off from upgrading and wait till the iPhone 6. Hope they don't carry on with the numbers after the iPhone, kinda sounds silly to me! lol

The point of the chip is that it can be one SKU across the world.

Understood, and obviously that would be Apple's ideal. But can there be one antenna design to accommodate both standards?

Yes. Verizon's Droid 2 Global and Droid Pro have the same Qualcomm radio as the Verizon iPhone 4 and accommodate GSM and CDMA antennae.

This is what Apple needs to do. They are falling behind here.
