I currently have a 1st Gen iPhone with month to month billing on AT&T. I only pay about $67/mo with taxes and fees. I'm dying to order a Verizon iphone but I'm hesitating due to the data plan. $30 extra per month. That's nut, I only use about 50-75MB/mo. There's wifi almost everywhere. And I'm rarely a passenger in a car. And I can't (well, don't) check my facebook while driving. I really don't want the increased monthly expense. I was very disappointed that Verizon only offered one data plan, that was unlimited.

Which leads me to the main question of this thread. Can you downgrade your service while you're in a contract, or are you stuck at whatever you had when you signed up for service? In other words, when Verizon does finally come out with a $15 data plan, will I be able to downgrade my service to that? Or will I have to wait until my 2 years is up?
