Simple thing really, a shaped piece of aluminium with screw in base and suckers, the screw thread is the same as camera tripod fittings. It's not just for iPhones but they use it the most in the promo video and pictures. As a 'Kickstarter' project like the iChair stand, they are getting funding together for a first production run.
