I just learnt about this through a Pogoplug update:
Pogoplug Mobile: Free Your Smartphone and Tablet From Storage Limits, Stream Your Media Anytime, Anywhere
IFA 2011 - PogoPlug Mobile - GeekBeat.TV

Would this device be indicated for those people who can only afford a 16GB iThing?

I have the pogo plug pro. Have a difficult time streaming movies. Limit support for video formats.

Accessing documents, music, photos, and PDFs works fine.

Setup is really simple.

I have a Dockstar, but for video I prefer AirVideo.

I just looked at the FAQ and it seems like it has no WiFi, so it will not have the use I imagined.

Get the pogo plug pro. It has WiFi and can be had for under $40. I think I got mine for like $30. The mobile version is more expensive and more limited. But smaller?

Somehow, "flash storage enlargement" sounds like part of an Enzyte ad...

I'm kind of interested in how this whole thing works, not just the mechanism but the system that lets you "stream your media" and how that might be limited by location...
