Snow leopard 10.6.8 Core 2 duo 15 inch screen MBP 3 gigs ram 270 gigs HDD free.

iPhone 4 32 gig updated to iOS5.

Error message The iPhone cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.

Folders are all accessible , repaired permissions Diskwarrior applied. restarted iPhone and MBP , checked login in account details. only 2 computers authorised to play music including MBP. No joy.

Please help iPhone is empty.

This is an uncommon but not completely unheard of issue. All the posts I've seen about it indicate it's a problem with photos and specifically the iPhoto cache.

Thanks to BigMac my iPhone is working again.

Thanks very much.

I followed the link recomended but I looked at the pivileges of the iPhoto cache folder.

I was not in the list instead unknown was there. I added myself and synced successfully.

iPhone seems to be back to normal.
