Taking Notes with Mathematics & Science Symbols

I'm trying to find a solution for taking notes on an iPad and being able to type common math and science symbols, like Brisk does for OSX. It really sucks going back and forth writing and typing, writing and typing. Haven't found one yet, any thoughts?
