I use KDE with my Redhat - but that I have installed on my pc.

Now I've been switching to the idea to try KDE on my mac.

What kind of experiences have you others had with KDE on mac?
I suppose to be used with Fink...

I notice fink works only with 10.1 ..

I haven't used fink on the Mac yet, but KDE runs pretty good in YDL on my iBook. Some of the apps launch a little slow, but they run well once they get started.

Fink does work in 10.2 -- although whether it will compile KDE is another question. I've found that all the XWindows stuff runs great in OS 10. Better, in any case, than when I tried it in YDL.

I' ve installed Mandrake 8.2 with KDE as window manager on my G3 iMac, and I'm very happy about it... I'm a ultra-newbie in linux, and everything went fine.

Of course I don't know anything about YDL, it can be better, don't know...

ok i downloaded the yellow dog 2.3

and now downloading the redhat 8.0 (omg.. 5 cds) .. i think i put redhat 8 on my pc - and there a windows emulator (i have only 4.6 G hd) .. also because a windows emulator is of couse more stabile than windows itself!!

so, i guess.. i have the yellow dog but it feels still a better solution to wait for the fink for 10.2

fink is "supposed" to be 10.2 compatible in late october/november if I remember correctly. It's so close, that I'm just going to wait rather than stuff YDL onto my mac.
