Linux - Xbox sourceforge

What do you think about that guys??

They got shocked and explained in the telly (in italy) that it's "illegal" (it isn't) and the "hackers" had discovered that use for Xbox!!! ROTFLLL...

So they really were telling in the telly that it'd be illegal to use your xbox to anything useful...

Actually... after discovering that it does run linux, i - for the first time in my life - could seriously think of buying an xbox ... (i have my old pc laptop running linux so i don't need) ...

it is not illegal to run linux on the x-box - it's the modchips. they seem to not only support linux but copied games, too. i guess they are 'circumventing devices' after the DMCA.
though i don't really know much about this certain case, and IANAL, either.

Check out NetBSD, that stupid OS runs on nearly everything.

I know they're still tuning the Dreamcast port, which I'm looking into as an ultracheap firewall device.

nice, but not perfect. the DC does not own an NIC, and no storage either.
there are much better and easier-to-configure devices out there for this job...
