Hey guys... I installed boot camp today... and well... tried installing windows XP Prof w/ service pack 2. Unfortunately, the setup never completes itself and gives me a dark blue screen error -_-. I've been trying to force eject the CD but it just wont happen. It keep starting up the setup.

What do you suggest I do?

Read the manual. You may need to reformat. Hold down the option key on boot, you can get back into OSX.

okay... i got the disk out. Now it says... "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"

WHAT THE HELL.

Now I remember exactly why I switched to mac in the first place.

What do you suggest I do... in terms of getting Mac OS X to start up again?

In all fairness, bootcamp is a BETA product, not made by Microsoft, who actually made XP.

Great idea:
bringing windows to macs means bringing all the trouble that no-one wants to have.

Guys, understand: this is to win windows users for mac hardware and eventually for Mac OS and to increase stock price. NOT to be used by OS X users .

I didn't mean to be unclear about what I said. The reason as to why I was complaining was NOT because Boot Camp was not working. I was frustrated because the Microsoft Windows XP Professional installation would not continue and would always result in one of their retarded blue screens.

I apologize for the misunderstanding.

I'm not going to bother using Boot Camp. I love Mac OS X anyway.

This really isn't a MacBook Pro-specific question. For now, Boot Camp discussion is ongoing in the Lounge and Mac OS X forums, and Parallel, being an application, should be discussed in Applications.
