Does the new Boot Camp installation process or the other windows installation method enable Windows Media Center 2005 to be installed onto a Mini Mac?

I know the boot camp instructions says winxp pro or home only with SP2 because it can only deal with one disc install. But there is a method of making the Media Center two disc into one DVD, so would this work?

Maybe the method the original hack uses is slightly different to Apple's, but from the onmac.net wiki:

There is a modification to narf2006 and blanka's installer that claims to allow a Media Centre Edition 2005 install to proceed if the two CDs are combined onto one DVD for install.

It's "Mac mini" and I don't think Boot Camp officially supports Media Center. Whether someone will get it working or not is anybody's guess, but I imagine they will.

MCE 2005 OEM installs just fine.

All you have to do is use an external drive to hold install disc 2 during the install. It can be an external CD/DVD or a HD with the contents of disc 2 copied to it.

When the install process asks for XP disc 2 , just hit OK and then change the path to the external drive, in my case it was D:.

The Apple drivers work just fine as well, and if you have the Microsoft Remote and sensor it works great.

I set it up on a Mac Mini which I think makes a perfect small silent media computer to hook to a HDTV.
