Parallel VM vs. Bootcamp

I installed Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro last night, Parallel's Beta Virtual Machine this A.M.
*Both* seem like decent solutions! My need for XP is absolute, but only for some IE based applications. For my needs, I think the VM is going to work better. Snappy speed, just another window in OSX!
Ironically, it is easier to transfer files back and forth between XP and OSX with the dual-boot solution than the emulation! With the VM beta, you have to set it up like a network and pretend the OSX and XP machines are two different machines sitting on the same network, and mount network drives.
I bought the MPB *hoping* good cross platform functionality would be developed quickly, and I'm thrilled with the results so far!
Anybody want to buy a copy of Virtual PC for Mac? :-)

I've tried both, and currently prefer the dual boot option - mainly because my main use for XP is games, with a bit of SketchUp and Publisher thrown in there as well. I also don't like the way the networking works in the VM.

Do you have a link to the website of the company who made that VM you are using?

Very Nice....
If you have it installed, could you do me a favor and run a benchmarking program called superpi and see how long it takes to calculate pi to 2 million digits under XP. I'd like to see how near native this performs.
Becuase with the VM, I might not need the dual boot. Also, please post which imac or macbook pro you have (which processor / ram etc).
Thanks so much!

I'm a web designer so the VM option is what I need - just the abliity to test sites in IE6+.

This really isn't a MacBook Pro-specific question. For now, Boot Camp discussion is ongoing in the Lounge and Mac OS X forums, and Parallel, being an application, should be discussed in Applications.
