Now that Apple has made MacBook Pros capable of booting into Windows, are they going to release subsequent models with a second mouse button?!? The Control-click method works in VirtualPC, but will it work in WinXP through Boot Camp? If I boot into WinXP with a current model MPB, would I need an external mouse?

That is an interesting question. I wouldn't think control clicking would work in place of right clicking in XP. I should try it. I have a Pro Mouse (Beatiful) I should try plugging it into my dad's XP box.

UPDATE:I plugged my Pro Mouse into my dad's XP2 box. It worked right away, but there was only one button available (left). I think you need an external.

These are not MacBookPro questions.

Please stop posting Boot Camp questions in the PowerBook forum.

I think this is MacBook pro related. He's asking how to emulate a 2nd mouse button on his MacBook.

Agreed.
Intel iMacs come with a Mighty Mouse - two buttons.
Intel Mac Minis leave it up to you - I would hazard to guess most people use a two button mouse.
MacBook Pros have one mouse button.

Thank you for the support. I have long wondered why a second mouse button has still not made its way to the PowerBook. In the past, Apple said that a single mouse button was easier for beginning users to learn, but that argument has never held up for the PowerMac or PowerBook. The addition of Boot Camp brings the single mouse button issue on MBPs into sharp focus. The next version really needs to have a second mouse button to be take seriously.

Until there is a bootcamp forum, i think this is really the most appropriate place for this hardware specific question.
