I'm contemplating a MacBook Pro, but I'll need AutoCAD for design school. Just want to make sure it works fine before I blow $2300.

I haven't, but under Boot Camp people have had no problem running lots of 3D games, productivity software, etc., so I can't imagine it will be a problem. It doesn't have a hardware dongle or anything wacky like that, does it?

I'm interested in this too. Really shouldn't be a problem, as I worked in a office which used ACAD v14 on a box with far less capable graphics that any current Intel mac incorporates.
I've been waiting for this capability for almost 10 years.

No, but God knows if it has some wacky drivers that would F up the install or limit functionality...

I am running XP and autcad 2007 under parallels on a blackbook, and i'have had no problems at all. I also use some other graphic intensive programs for my industry, and also have had no problems.
I dont recomend using memory intensive programs in the background (OSX), but things like mail, ichat, any word processing, are all fine with parallels. any other questions please feel free to send me an email.
