I've been running into a problem with the installation of Boot Camp on a MBP 2.16 and am seeking some advice. After updating the Firmware and installing the Boot Camp software everything proceeds according to the installation and setup guide until I get to the "blue" "Windows XP Professional Setup" screen. At this point I'm requested to hit enter if I want to set up Windows XP. The problem is that my keyboard and mouse are completely non-responsive and I can't figure out how to make the proper selection. I've tried a windows USB mouse and an Apple USB keyboard, both to no avail. Is there something I've missed? I've rerun the intallation half a dozen times all to the same result. I would appreciate any advice or assistance. John

Found my solution on another Apple forum. Simply unplug the Mighty Mouse USB connection prior to startup.

Is it the Mighty Mouse that causes the problem then?

I think it's important to remember that Windows doesn't understand the MightyMouse; it's far more advanced than most Windows-compliant mice, USB or otherwise. I'd stick to a standard USB mouse until I got Windows running properly and then start adding "interesting hardware." I don't think the MightyMouse is a "problem," but it is almost certainly NOT hardware that Windows is used to working with.

Icruise, after starting the MBP with Mighty Mouse unplugged the entire process worked perfectly. Once I installed the Mac drivers (following the Windows XP setup) the Mighty Mouse performed as expected. John

They should really add that to the Boot Camp readme file if it's a reproducible problem.
