Hi all,
Got my new intel imac tonight and installed bootcamp/xp and I didnt wanna risk any problems so I used the bootcamp default settings but the partition it created for XP is way to small, is there a way to increase the size without uninstalling and reinstalling?

good luck finding a way. i did the same thing you did so i went and used boot camp to delete the partition and start over, but it gave me an error when i went to repartition it saying i had to reformat the drive completely before boot camp would partition the drive again. anyway, i did it then it worked fine. as far as your problem, there is an app that i found a week or two are thats suposed to be able to resize partitions on the fly but as usual with me.. it didnt work, and its 3am so i cant remember the name of the app

yea i just went in bootcamp and deleted the xp drive and redid it changing the default from 5 gigs for XP to 45. it worked smoothly and XP installs in like 20 mins so it wasnt too big of a pain.

Fast machines install Windows quickly, even with pauses for user input. I've heard reports that ALL Intel Macs run Windows XP very fast... This is a GOOD thing, because it says that Macs run XP faster than PCs...

As i know BC is only a PB, but is there any indication that you might eventually be able to install XP onto say like and external firewire HD all by itself? Or will it always have to reside with an OSX paratition?
