Currently, I am a pc man but will soon buy a new iMac. I intend to get a 500Gb hd to dual boot with XP, allowing both OSs plenty of room to grow and play.

My question is this: With XP set up using Boot Camp on the iMac, will I be able to use XP's "Files & Transfer Wizard" to get my stuff to the new machine? Or should I jsut burn things to disc?

Any other thoughts, warnings, etc?

Thanks!

Welcome to the MacNN Forums. We have a special forum just for dual bootting-it's called "Alternative Operating Systems." I'm moving this thread there.

But yes, you can use the transfer wizard to get stuff off of any old Windows machine as long as the old machine is somehow able to be connected to the new one (network, etc.) or you save the user information on something like an external drive.
