I have been unable to get Command & Conquer running - it gives me a directx error. If anybody has a solution to this please let me know. I have installed the latest version of DirectX from MS.

What machine are you running?

Try getting your drivers right from ATI

Also go to

right click my computer
properties
hardware
device manager


find your ati device and check the drivers on it. it could be that your card (presumable an AIT) and it oculd be not detected and so they think that your card won't run it.

Also go to Westwood and see if they have updates yet.


P.S. Microsoft is reffered to as "M$" not "MS" thats a disease, as if M$ wasn't.

Command and Conquer: Generals gives lots of PCs problems, particularly DirectX problems.

Its an Intel Imac 20" with 2Gb RAM, and 128Mb video. Thanks for the suggestions I'll check tonight.

PS Referring to Microsoft as MS is fine, they are not a disease. I can love my Mac and MS at the same time.
