Is it possible to mix parts of different distributions of Linux?
For instance, there is a set of cursors in Kubuntu that I would like to add to Knoppix. Could I just dump them into my Kubuntu Home directory, back them up, and add them in to Knoppix?
I have found that Knoppix gives me access to the partitions of my hard drive on my desktop, but Kubuntu does not, while Kubuntu gives me access to my USB flash drive, while Knoppix does not. Is there any way of giving them both access to all the drives?

Yes. It's a modular operating system.

Yes.

Yes. Use whatever disk detection and mounting software Knoppix uses on Kubuntu.

Exactly how would I go about adding in the set of cursors to Knoppix? I was unable to find any place to put any cursors in the settings. I managed to copy them from Kubuntu, but I have no idea where to go from there.

Thanks. I found the place where the cursors are, under Peripherals > Mouse. I now have 3 new sets of cursors. Now if I could only get that cool wallpaper from Mepis into Knoppix...
