I'm having a hard time finding any benchmarks for Counter-Strike (the original, not source) running on GMA950. Anyone know what the performance is like? I have an opportunity to trade in my PowerBook 1.67 for a Black MacBook. The only PC game I really play is the original Counter-Strike. On my Mac I don't really play games, just do Photoshop and Illustrator (which will be UB pretty soon.)

I would love to chuck my PC out the window if CS 1 will run on a MacBook.

You could probably run source on a MacBook. My PC, not mac, is a 2.0GHZ Single Core, 768MB, GeForce MX 64MB, and runs source fine on low settings. Imagine it with dual core 2GHZ and a gig of RAM.

So yes, im sure it will run just fine.

I've seen it run playably on GMA900, so it should be fine on GMA950. With the low res of the MacBook (1280x800) and the old Halflife engine (I remember playing it on a GeForce2) you can probably run it at medium quality.
