Hello Guys,

Recently i've installed my MacBook Pro with XP Pro (on Boot Camp). I've acknowledge that lately the system seems to boot up half way and got hung on the loading of XP screen. Sometimes, i've just got a blue screen from windows saying that it has encountered a serious error and needed to shut down.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? I've installed office 2003, Mcaffee antivirus on the MacBook.

Please advice... thanks

Welcome to the MacNN Forums! But we have a whole forum for running something other than OS X on a Mac, so I'll move this there.

I've had XP Pro on my MBP since April- love HL2.

Had problems with the XP install, turns out it was a disk problem. Once I got a good install disk, all went smoothly. I've had HL2 seize up and exit 3 or four times, fairly random. At least it looks random. Don't recall having been BSODd at all, in XP that is, OS X is another matter.

During the boot process, be patient, I've seen it take anywhere from "seconds" to "minutes" to get to the "welcome" screen. Remember, Windows rides the short bus, be kind to it.
