I thought this query would have already been posted here...

Where does one get a legit copy of Windows XP SP2? I've seen prices all over the board and I'd rather not get burned buying something that doesn't work just to satify my morbit Bootcamp curiousity.

Thanks

Start with places like NewEgg. Or do a Google search for something like "buy windows xp." I turned up a lot of hits on that search.

I'd buy XP Pro if I could afford it, by the way.

Check out this online store. They have XP Pro with SP2 for the least I've seen-less than the lowest Home version price I've seen. Wow, what a deal!

If you have any computer shows in your area you should check them out for OEM copies. I know I have friends who have picked up copies for $20-30, legit copies. Never heard of OEMSoftstore, but the prices are pretty good...

I'd second the comp show comment. OEMSoftstore ships out of Eastern Europe. Not sure I'd want to pay the shipping costs for the wait time involved. And if they are located in EE not sure if I'd trust them with a credit card, so Ebay users would advise.
To be determined later.

I didn't see that about OEMSoftstore... That's a big consideration-both the shipping time and the reliability of the vendor.

I've seen OEM copies of XP at computer shows for realy decent prices-though not as low as golby has!
