tried nLite install with the sata drivers, but now I end up with two primary and secondary drives. The mac uses the first of each which are pio. The secondary ones say ultra umda but I cannot get the mac to use them. Any ideas?

Frustrated, having burnt about ten cd's so far.

What did you do before it decided to work? You can't just say "it worked" and expect us all to just say "cool." We have to know!

Seriously, what changed?

Well when I unpacked the drivers in the first place, I just copied the folders containing the xp data instead of extracting everything into the download folders. When I extracted everything into the folders to incorporate into nLite, it worked. I just read the instructions wrongly.

Ahhhh. I found that nLite was better at deciding what was "the driver" than I was, so I've left it to the app to decide where a driver was in a downloaded folder and that's worked very well.

Congrats on getting things working.
