Hi,

I'm trying to connect an Garmin GPS Unit with my iBook via USB port and Virtual PC due to Garmin does not supply software for the use with mac.

Everything is gone well. I installed Virtual PC 6.0 (Windows XP) and the supplied Garmin Software. The device got recognised at the USB port and the required drivers installed but however MapSource can't find the device.

Updates of all used software did not solve the problem and the FAQ on Garmins Homepage did help as well. That it is possible show a few other forums but there was nobody able to help me sofar.

This belongs in the Alternative Operating Systems forum.

And I think the issue is more that VPC doesn't see the hardware the same way that natively run XP will. We'll let the other folks with experience chime in on this to see if they agree.
