Hello all. I'm hoping someone here can lend me a helping hand regarding Boot Camp

The problem is that I can't install XP on my intel iMac. I've downloaded the latest version of Boot Camp (v1.1.1) and my computer is all up to date with the latest firmware.

The problem is as follows: I run boot camp to partition the HD for me. This all goes well, and I can see the partition has been created. However, I can't actually install XP. When I begin the process of installing XP, the mac restarts, the screen goes white and I hear the familiar start-up 'bong' sound, then screen then goes black and....nothing. The computer is still runnning, but nothing happens- the screen stays blank.

A restart wouldn't solve the blank screen problem either. I'd restart, the screen would go white, I would hear the bong and the screen would then go black again (this is having ejected the disk already, so it's not trying to boot from the CD) When I first tried the install, I thought I'd broken my beloved iMac but a quick call to Apple Care said that the PRAM needed resetting. I reset the PRAM, and it then boots into OS X as usual.

But now every time I try and install XP, it doesn't work and I have to start resetting the PRAM again. I was just wondering if anyone of the MacNN forums have had this problem before and, if so, whether they've been able to solve it.

Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
