hi all,

am new to this forum and am also a switcher

i just bought a 20" iMac(Intel) with Core 2 Duo 2.16 ghz, 2 gig RAM, ATI X1600 256mb,

i learned to install Windows XP (SP2) using bootcamp and it was really easy to use the

mac operating system since this is my 1st time i use this operating system.

the installation was done without any problems, all drivers worked with no errors, so now i

wanted to try the graphics on my new iMac , i installed different games to see how the

graphics is working, the problem is that i get slow graphics and this is making me so crazy

so i downloaded the new ATI X1600 driver for Win XP but it didnt worked .

anyone can help me with my problem please?

my copy of windows xp (SP2) is ripped i think, is it the main reason of this problem?

thank you

Did you install the graphics driver from the BootCamp driver CD?

The X1600 (probably underclocked...) isn't screaming fast, but it's no slouch.

The graphics should be fast. I have a MacPro with 7300GT (comparable card to yours from reviews I read) and the Windows XP graphics are fast. I'd recommend a reinstall of drivers fro mthe BootCamp CD.
