How well would a PSX/PS1 emulator work when using Parallels on a MacBook?

Just curious as I'm a console gamer and I love my emulators.

Depends on how well software-rendering works. If it's fast on a PC it will be fast in Parallels.

I've though about trying Virtual Game Station in Windows 98. I would imagine it would work pretty well. However PCSX for mac works pretty darn good as it is and is getting better with every update.
There is also Flarestorm and you could always use bootcamp, boot into XP and use one of the many freeware PC emulators.

I used PCSX and Flarestorm, but they don't have the compatibility, nor features, of most Windows emulators.

I have used PCSX while Parallels is running and everything ran fast and smooth.

* Side note: I wish someone would port PCSX2 to OS X...

^^ Good to know, thanks everyone.

Oh and I know what you mean on PCSX2. Maybe someday!
