I just acquired a somwhat ailing Quadra 610 with the intention to get a ROM image to use with Basilisk II. It's hard drive was toast, it's floppy drive was questionable.
After no small amount of disk-swapping and SCSI voodoo, I finally extracted a ROM file, which CopyROM reported as checksum $F1A6F343, and copied it to my PB. However, Basilisk (both the latest Universal build, 19b, and PPC-only build 19) does not seem to like this ROM file at all. It likes other ROM files that I have, but not this one.
The checksum is the right one for that model Mac, but I have no way of knowing whether the file got corrupted while copying it out of the old Mac. Which checksum algorithm is used with these old ROM files? Is ther an app i can run which will verify it for me?
Thanks....
