I've been using Parallels with my C2D MBP for a week now. Until today things worked perfectly. While using XP full screen I could click my mouse scroll wheel or hit cmd-tab and scroll through my applications. I could also use expose corners. When I switched to an OSX application, Windows XP stayed full screen in the background. OSX applications simply layered themselves over XP like it was a new desktop picture.
Today I can't do that any more. While in full screen I have to press alt-ctrl to release the mouse before I can use the scroll wheel or cmd-tab. Not only that, but when I hit ctrl-alt the window minimizes and the toolbar appears.
I've played with the user interface preferences as well as the preferences in the VM Flags portion of my set up. I can't get it to revert back to the old behavior. I've also removed and re-installed the Parallel Tools. I'm going to try and remove all my preferences next.
Any other suggestions?

Any help?
How does Parallels focus work for everyone else? Is it like mine used to be or how it is now?
Since my last post I've deleted all Parallels preferences, reinstalled parallels, tried parallels with a different user, deleted all windows and gui preferences for the system and user and the behavior persists.

Over 40 views and no one can tell me how their install of Parallels behaves?

Mine behaves as it should...i.e., in full-screen mode I can use my application switcher to go to another OS X app. The Parallels desktop is simply pushed to the background.

Thank you. I will take up the matter with the Parallels support team

Archive and install did the trick.
There must have been something corrupted in my system files.
While using the setup assistant to transfer all my settings from my Powerbook was convenient, I think I should have skipped transferring files into the 'System' and 'Library' folders.

12 days and the ing behavior is back. This time I can't think of anything that I've changed that could have caused it to happen. Parallels support never got back to me on the original question.
This could get annoying very quickly. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Can you try setting up a new VM in Parallels and see if the behavior persists? Obviously, this is not a long-term solution but it may help to determine the cause.
