My C2D Macbook arrived today and I had a few questions about boot camp/parallels...I was just wondering about the graphics card and it's performance in xp/vista... I'm thinking about picking up an OEM copy of media center 2005, which qualifies for a free update to Vista Home Premium. Will the 64mb allocation of memory for graphics be enough to drive vista? I think I read somewhere that Apple locks down the video memory amount to 64mb in OS X but when in windows it shows up as 200+mb memory ram (but i swear i read this somewhere), is this true? I got 2gb of ram in the machine so that wont be an issue, I'm just wondering if i will have any problems with running Vista Home Premium. Thanks!

windows XP reports 224mb of video memory (or 226 or something, i don't have it with me this morning so can't check). it plays AOE III really well. i'd say the video card is a non issue in the windows world right now. of course, AOE III is NOT the most intense graphics game out there but that is all i have to try out the video card.

i have a black 13" C2D with 2GB of memory.

I believe that the GMA950 is specifically supported with Vista. A search of Microsoft.com would probably tell you. I would make sure to have at least 1gb of RAM, though.
