This is my first post, so I will do my best.

I have just purchased a new Mac Book Pro with the following Details:

Machine Name: Mac
Machine Model: MacBookPro2,2
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.33 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP22.00A5.B00
SMC Version: 1.12f5
Serial Number: W8645389W0H
Sudden Motion Sensor:
State: Enabled

Now the Problem:

I partioned the hard drive using Boot Camp 1.2
I then created the Drivers disk as per instructions
Instaled XP then Installed the Drivers and all apeared to work fine.

I then proceeded to do all my windows updates and install'd my other apps, Microsoft office 2003, My game BF2 as I am a Member of www.i4niclan.com, and my Adobe Photoshop CS2, and All other apps.

After running my Game which I have to say ran beautifuly, Better than any PC I have had, After a little while I noticed the game kept on minimising to the desktop, after getting supspicious of some thing not right I too a look at the managment console and proceeded to the Device Manager and noticed that every 3 or 4 seconds it was doing a refresh with 2 device's not recognized one being a Human Interface Device the other a USB device, so I unplugedany USB devises connected and still the same device's apeared to be unrecognised.

OK then the next step would logicaly to re install the drivers disk mr spock.....

I tried this and the drivers disk will go through all the process's to do the install but when it came to instaling the MSI file after doing its validation of sotware it comes up with an error as follows: error:1706 can not find the windows blah blah blah msi file in Loocal setting//// blah for a bit temp folder.

I checked the folder and it al apears to be there until the installation fails with the above error.

So next I checked the firmware and this was all up to date, though I have a different version than on the web site when I try to do a firmware update in the sudgested that it could not do th update as it was not needed.

So I have the most Beautiful, Most Uptodate Mac, The latest Boot Camp and the Latest software and I really need to bend over and provide my own needle and cotton to which I am shure is down to microsoft being a bunch of you know whats with there stupid updates.....

So whilst being completely stitched up on the rear end, would anyone here have any answers to my problem

I am a computer enginear and system administrator for www.boffgroup.com and I cant fix this darn thing can any one else although Macs are a new domain for myself
