I'm having a hard time getting a Windows XP installation to get internet connectivity.
I'm using it on a 17" iMac. I have internet on the iMac coming from an OS X Server using NAT and DHCP.
Whenever I run Parallels, the Local Area Connection Status say:
Limited or no connectivity
This problem occured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer.
Clicking the repair button does not fix the problem. Disconnecting/Reconnecting the 'network' globe does not make a difference.
Question:
Is the Virtual machine looking for a DHCP address from the OS X server or from the iMac. I thought the idea behind Bridged Networks was that the virtual machines acquired their 'virtual IP' connection via Parallels.
I've managed to get some internet connectivity by using "Shared Networking - Virtual Adaptor"
but can't seem to access our network printers
Since it defaulted to "Bridged Ethernet" when it was installed, I would have thought that would have been the correct setting?
Is there something that I'm not doing right to get the "Bridged Ethernet" to work?
