Hi all,

I downloaded the latest Knoppix CD and burned the ISO to a disk to try it out and see what had changed. However, when I restart the Mac with the CD in the drive it reads it and promptly spits it out. Ditto for if I use the C key to force boot to CD.

I'm just wondering whats up? I dropped it in my XP machine and it happily went in and booted fine.

Am I missing something?

Just a side note here, I'm not looking to install it or anything just play with it like i have with all the others

Maybe try going to System Preferences > Startup Disk and choosing Knoppix and restarting.

Make sure you're burning the correct CD for your architecture (ie, PPC or Intel). Not saying you're not, but I've made that mistake before

does the cd actualy mount and show up in the finder?
also, try holding option/alt on boot and see if you can select it from there
