I cam across a problem where I was unable to install Vista on my MacPro.
I successfully installed bootcamp and partitioned the drive but when I booted up vista and selected the partition it gave me some sort of error saying that the volume selected does not meet specifications or something to that fact.
I found some threads here regarding the RTM version of vista and Macpro. that thread had me reformat the selected volume, reboot and then re-select but that didn't work.
Now I got around this by installing XP on the partition first and then installing vista. Kind of a slow and a round about approach.
My question here has anyone else run into this and if so how did you install vista or was installing xp the only way.
The reason why I'm asking I may purchase a new HD and I'll hate to go through the process of installing OSX, bootcamp xp and then installing vista. If I could remove one OS install that will make my life easier.
