Alright so i've got vista up and running on my macbook pro. Was able to get the drivers installed for everything. My only issue is not having my start up disk icon in the control panel. Has anyone else tryed to install that? i can't even find it in the unpackaged drivers. Any help would be great thanks.

I haven't really missed that nor have I looked for it. I just boot up OSX (or vista) by holding the option key down when I reboot.

I think those of you moving to Vista are fairly brave. I've read nothing but reports about how games and drivers are all jacked. up.

It will be at least 6 months before Vista runs smoothly on a Mac. Actually it will be at least 6 months before Vista runs smoothly on any computer, let alone a Mac.

MS has a lot of driver issues just like they did with XP when it first came out. Don't worry though, by the time Vista is running nice and fast Leopard will be out and most mac users won't even mess with Vista unless they absolutely have to. My .02!

Vista on my Mac is running incredibly smooth. I've only run into a small number of issues all of which I was able to download an updates. All of my apps run but I'm not discounting that people will have problems but I wonder how prevelant it will be.
