hi,

when running windows xp under bootcamp it refuses to sleep after i close the lid on my macbook pro, this often leads me to having an overheated macbook and low battery when i get it out of my bag....obviously since bootcamp isn't supported by apple I can't take it for service... I got all the latest drivers...

i don't have this problem in mac os x, has anyone else had it ? or know what I could do ?

TIA
- K

And Windows calls it something other than "sleep". You should have the option to either "standby" or "hibernate". Standby is the faster alternative, and should be close to sleep, while hibernate is an actual shut down of the machine with the current state saved to the hard drive for "quick" restoral (about 1/4 to 1/3 the time of a normal startup in my experience).
